Looking forward to this. Also beneath all the blurriness it looks like the graphics doesn't look realistic which i like. More stylized. Hope the platforming is as good as it was in the previously trilogy.
They try and approve the read times before they talk about putting out bigger disks. One of the reasons i think you had to "install" again after each act in MGS4 is because of read times. I think it's more prefetching data or something similar for the next act than anything else. You have to remember the game is on a 50 gig BR disk and i think that's the method they needed to make it work.
The rosary beads are a nice touch (ala Akuma). Though like people have said more male fighters. And when i say male characters i don't mean big, slow moving male characters with big weapons. Some more variety.
Qore should be free. For me i see it as Sony seeing what they could do with having with subscription services. First Qore to lighten you up since it's optional and relatively cheap. Depending on how the response is from Qore i think that'll be a strong hinting of what they COULD get away with in the future. We should be vetoing it against Sony they can make a optional subscription service but can't even bring out PSN cards for us non willing credit card users.
Max Payne 2 was pretty awesome. I remember going to gamestop and trying to choose between buying that or Hitman: Contracts and i choose that instead. It was a really good game, one of my favorite parts of the game was playing as that chick when the building was collapsing that and the last level are pretty memorable. I loved the weird dream-like sequences in between the action segments.
Your opening post. I think that post may explain the whole review of "perfect 10" thing.
It depends on what they are rating on. I think some reviews rate a game by overall how good the game is 10 being a crown jewl, redefining the genre etc etc. Others score based on entertainment value. It's easier to give a game a 10 in entertainment value/fun factor compared to giving it a 10 overall as in "Top 10 material". Just depends on how the person is rating it in my opinion.
Actually just stop and look at the quality of textures and look for frame rate dips and whatnot? I mean i thought you'd be too busy enjoying the game itself than looking for evidence in your little debates over graphics. Some people take minimal differences and make them look like it's a world of difference. In reality if you were playing the game side by side with the consoles covered up you wouldn't know which one was which.
(By the way Straight Cougar is better) but DMC4 was underwelming. I loved DMC3 but DMC4 was TOO much like DMC3. It did not live up to my expectations. It didn't "suck" like alot of people say it does but in my opinion it doesn't deserve more than a 8 or 8.5. I was expecting a great game and instead i got a abit above average action game.
When i got to that part i was thinking "This really is one of the greatest of all time" to capture a moment like that. Also by the time he was crawling my finger was tired but i had to go on seeing Akiba get shot and the Mark 3 trying to cheer me on i had to do it. That and the final boss battle was one of the greatest moments in gaming as far as i'am concerned.
Some of the screenshots may be from the gamecube and xbox versions of the game but the one i linked to is not. look at the button commands on the screen Rt and Lt. Though the twilight time shot you linked to does look better. But certainly not better than Uncharted in my opinion (and i don't even like Uncharted's art direction much). As for MGS4 being Linear i played through the game twice now i can definitely tell you for sure it's not linear. Try going up a different street or looking at yo...
Per se, but i do dislike em. I know the exclusive deal to the NFL rights, the NFL is as much to play as EA but got damn they brought almost every sport. What's left only the NBA? I dislike what they have done with Madden and Live to a lesser extent by pushing out damn there the same thing each year. I still like some of their games (Mirrors Edge, Black, Facebreaker) but i still harbor disdain for them because of the NFL thing. Their game quality is getting better though.
Would rock my socks. I remember first playing Soul Reaver on the Dreamcast since then it has always been on my top franchise/top 10 games list. I only was able to play the beginning bits of Soul Reaver 2 and i own Blood Omen 2 i want to get defiance or Soul Reaver 2 to get more story. It's a severely under rated series which i love. I'd love a current gen iteration. Imagine the possibilities of the Dark Gifts and the settings.

As for MGS4 being linear please play the game first. MGS3 and MGS2 was linear MGS4 however is not.
I was always optimistic about this game and the gameplay rewarded my optimism because it looks good. Not goofy like the last 3 or 4 MK games. Though i do hope they fix some of the poses for the characters a little more so most of them don't look like they are about to grapple each other. But other than that everything else looks very good.
Mr Tiger Uppercut himself will be in SF4. There should be some pictures of Sagat in SF4 around the net you should look. I know i remember seeing him and DJ and Vega in SF4 pics.
It looked like Akuma was going for Shun Goku Satsu (Raging Demon) at the end. If so, Ryu was lucky Ken interrupted.
It was broadcasted in America as well. I remember watching it as a kid on ABC on saturday mornings.
Let's take a look at my BS translator: "when you're done playing with that toy get a REAL console, get a xbox 360". Sounds like to me he's just trying to ride on the coat tails of the Wii. Instead of actually trying to make his product sound like a better purchase over the wii from the time you step in the store.
They don't need to surpass XBL just be on par or close and deliver a good experience while keeping the online free.
